Simone Fujita (UCLA MLIS ’12) and Alexandra Bancroft (UCLA MLIS ’11) invite you to take a behind the scenes tour of the Hammer Museum with the museum’s collection managers. Learn how artwork is tracked, stored, preserved, and shipped according to museum standards. There will be time for discussion with Alexandra Bancroft, registrar and alumna of the UCLA MLIS program. Bring your questions about how to get into the field of collection management, what it’s like to find a job after library school, and any other burning questions you’ve had for MLIS professionals. Followed by happy hour nearby.
