In 2014, the Library received a federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to support a project entitled “Critical Content Making,” to explore the idea of zine makerspaces in academic libraries. This grant funded a series of five zine-making workshops for ArtCenter students, with one copy of each zine produced going to the Library’s zine collection and another preserved in College Archives. Our guide Simone Fujita was very involved in this grant work, and she would be pleased to speak with you more about this project, zine librarianship, and art librarianship!
